Consumers typically receive free non-alcohol beverages or discounts on food from bars or restaurants in exchange for being named the designated driver in a group and refraining from drinking on that occasion. Who's Your Bud? encourages consumers to be a friend and volunteer to be the designated driver when they're out with their buds.

With Alert Cab, Anheuser-Busch distributors, select restaurants and bars, and cab companies pick up the tab for a free or reduced-fare cab ride home for patrons who need a safe ride home.

In some areas, Anheuser-Busch and its distributors partner with the American Automobile Association for its Tow To Go program, which provides a free tow to a driver who may have overindulged and needs a safe ride home with his or her car.
