The
Novice Driver's Road Map, developed by the Network
of Employers for Traffic Safety, is designed to help parents
teach their children how to drive safely.
Linda Dutil, an emergency
room nurse, presents her program, "A Taste of Reality,"
on the tragic results of poor choices when it comes to alcohol
or drugs to middle and high-school students throughout the
country.
The Street Smart program
reminds students of the dangers of teen drinking, drunk
driving, illegal drug use and not wearing seat belts. Taught
by certified firefighter/paramedics, this program uses factual
information, actual medical equipment and demonstrations
involving students to help them better understand the consequences
of their actions. Street Smart is presented by members of
Stay Alive From Education, a non-profit organization created
by firefighter/paramedics in Florida, dedicated to reducing
teen injuries and fatalities.
